Description of Solution

IBM Sterling e-Invoicing uses the electronic signature method for compliance. This is a form of digital signature where invoices are digitally signed by the seller using keys approved by the government of the country in question and the signature is then verified by the buyer. In future invoice audits, their authenticity and integrity can be easily verified by re-validating the signatures of archived invoices. The electronic signature method is preferred by the tax authorities. It is a technical solution and it provides a clear technical guarantee of the authenticity and integrity of an invoice.

Functions:

  • A vendor process that supports the signing of invoices.
  • A buyer process that supports signature verification and invoice verification.
  • An archiving process, to meet country-specific archiving requirements
